There will be a second FRNCA meeting this month, in partnership with the Town of Southampton on Tuesday, October 16th, at 6PM (1 hour earlier than normal) to present the concept plan for the park we are building in Riverside.
The consultants surveyed the community at September's FRNCA meeting, and Riverside Rediscovered, in conjunction with FRNCA has been tirelessly door knocking the Riverside community to gather more input.
The consultants hired by the town are prepared to give a presentation of the plan as it stands currently, at about 50% done, to again hear from the community on how it's going.
If you're interested in the planning process, please find the time to come to the Crohan Community Center on Tuesday, October 16th at 6pm to share your opinions.
Trunk or Treat is Sunday, October 28, from 1:30-3:30
FRNCA has been accepted into Disney's Points of Light Program. For every volunteer that registers to help at our community events, we receive free tickets to Disneyworld to be used for fundraisers, rewards for volunteers, disbursement to the community, etc. The catch is that we need volunteers from 5 - 95 years old.
Disney accepted the Trunk or Treat as an event that benefits the community. We are looking for more trunks. If you'd like to decorate your trunk and give out candy for 2 hours, we would LOVE to have you. We'd love even more to have you register with Disney so your officially counted as a volunteer by clicking here, and then clicking the purple "join now" button.
In order to earn park tickets, we need a mix of adults and children 5 and up giving back to the community. We are also accepting candy donations as there are several families who want to decorate, but can't afford to purchase the amount of candy needed to serve the hundreds of kids that participate. This also counts towards our volunteers, we just need a picture of you and your family with the candy you want to donate. No amount is too small!
